One of the major components of the second phase of the Word Summit on the Information Society which took place in Tunis in November 2005 was ICT4All, which offered a precious opportunity to exchange views on the various topics of the implementation of a worldwide information society. The success of ICT4All and the wide diversity of issues dealt with during the summit gave strong reasons to the Tunisian Government to organize the “ICT 4ALL Forum, Tunis +1 : ICT Investment in Africa”. the objective of this forum is to contribute to the discussion on how to improve the proliferation of information and communication technologies in Africa. The focus of the conference would be on the improvement of ICT development through investing in infrastructure and capabilities, and how to stimulate the interest of potential investors to invest in the ICT industry in Africa and make partnership.
